Hello,

I’m Juju, otherwise known as Juju Mama to my three kids (30, 28 & 26) or Juju Nana to my grandies (2, 1 & 10 months).

I’ve started this blog, because for the first time in my life of 53 years, I have a blank slate ahead to create a new path.

Why, you ask? Well, my husband, Andy (54), and I just retired early in October 2018. The inspiration: Andy having had two heart attacks and a quadruple bypass, my mother and best friend dying from Cancer in 2016, having three beautiful children and three grandchildren and the feeling that life was getting away on us.

We sold our business Feilding Flooring Xtra which we had owned for 33 years and now we’re launching into retirement starting with a two month road trip of the South Island in our caravan.

In this blog, you can follow our journey as we figure out this new chapter of our lives! Here’s a few more fun facts about me:

Known for:

• My happy lips and happy shoes… happy = bright and colourful. If I’m ever feeling a bit low or challenged, I put on my bright happy lipstick! My daughters do the same

• Candle making

• Cooking – especially in the Thermomix
• Interior Design
• Camping – we have a retro Lilliput 10’6’’ caravan called Nancy which is pulled by a bright orange 1966 Ford Falcon
• Christmas decorating – the kids say my house is like Santa’s cave! I put everything up on 1 Nov and take it all down at the end of Jan. I’m banned from buying more Xmas lights…
